Today we pray for our missions partner fighting hunger and restoring faith to hurting souls in Greater Victoria - The Mustard Seed. Their work is largely community funded and includes:
- Vancouver Island’s larges Food Bankand Food Rescue Project
- meals and hospitality
- a Centre that supports families
- addictions recovery at Hope Farm Healing Centre
- as well as more traditional Church services.
We join them in prayer and praise for the following items:
For their staff:
- Chris Pollack as he will soon be ending his sabbatical
- for a Christ-filled Director of Development
- for Neil Hanson, our Board Chair, who lost his son to cancer
For their ministries:
- for Hope Farm as it reopens for addictions out-patient care in October/November
- for our community "outside" where addiction seems to becoming a greater problem
- for the new 15 members who are and will soon be a part of the Mustard Seed church!
- for an even deeper partnership with the churches around Victoria
