This week,  we pray for our missions partners, Brent and Shelley who are based in Australia and work to transmit shortwave and radio gospel broadcasts to  listeners in the Asia Pacific region. They are sent by SonSet solutions Canada to serve with Reach Beyond in Australia.

Here are some points we can pray about for them:

  • Pray for Brent, Shelley and family as they mourn the loss of Brent's father who passed away in hospice in Victoria on October 18. Brent and Shelley are thankful for visits they had while in Canada in August and September.

  • Pray for listeners to adjust to the new shortwave schedule that began on October 25. Pray especially for North Korean listeners as their broadcast shifted a few hours later at night.

  • Thank God for ensuring that Shelley had her appointment at the Eye & Ear Hospital in Melbourne on September 30, en route back to Kununurra from Canada. We saw God's providence in a number of ways.

  • Pray for new Reach Beyond Australia CEO Luke Lundstedt as he began taking over this role in mid-October. We're thankful to have met him in person on his recent trip to Kununurra to start getting to know the staff and ministry here.

  • Thank God that Malcolm's MS treatments continue to be effective without noticeable side effects.

  • Pray for energy, health and wisdom for Brent, Shelley and the wider Reach Beyond Australia team as they juggle many responsibilities and tasks to finish out 2026
