Each year, the Family Care Team prepares Christmas gift bags for members of our congregation as a small expression of love and encouragement. One of the highlights of these gifts is a tin filled with homemade cookies, and we're hoping you can help. We would love for you to contribute 6 dozen Christmas cookies by November 26. If you prefer to bake gluten-free cookies, you're welcome to make 3 to 4 varieties totaling 3 dozen cookies. No need to worry if you're not sure what to bake. Any favourite Christmas cookie recipe will be gratefully received! There’s just a few requests:

- Please make 6 dozen of the same cookie (They are going into 70 tins)!

- A hard, crisp cookie will hold together better than a soft or delicate cookie

- Nothing gooey or sticky. We need to layer the cookies

- No peanut butter please, but nuts are okay.

Cookie Drop-Off Information

  •  Deadline: Cookies must be at the church by 9:00 a.m. on November 26, our cookie-tin assembly day.
  •  Early Drop-Off: You may begin dropping cookies off as early as November 22. Please label your package with your name and "Family Care Team Christmas." If your cookies are gluten-free, please label them clearly.
  •  Where to Leave Them: Please place cookies in the stand-up freezer in the main kitchen. If you are unable to access the freezer, simply give them to a member of the church team.

Our goal is to have 1,600 cookies, which means we'll need lots of helping hands! Whether you're a seasoned baker or just enjoy making a favourite family recipe, your contribution will help bring a little extra joy to someone this Christmas.

If you're able to help, email mrturner@shaw.ca as soon as you can so we can keep track of our bakers. And feel free to share this invitation with friends or family who may also enjoy participating.

Thank you for helping us care for our church family in this simple but meaningful way. We are so grateful for your generosity and support.
