The Mustard Seed

Today our Missions Prayer is for our local partner, The Mustard Seed Street Church (MSSC). 

They have been fighting hunger and restoring faith to needy people in Greater Victoria since 1975.  Their largely community funded operations include Vancouver Island’s largest Food Bank and Food Rescue Project, a Family Center, addictions recovery services as well as Church services.

We join them in thanks for the blessings they have had over the last 6 months:

• We praise God that our new Food Hub in Esquimalt continues to flourish as we feed about 10% of Victoria,
• That we are expecting to be back to full pastoral staff soon
• That we now have monthly training happening for all staff on such subjects as Mental Health First Aid, Boundaries, Burnout, CPR, Naloxone Training, etc.

And here are some items that we will continue to pray for with them:

• That we continue to grow in partnership with other churches
• That we continue to grow in partnership with each other at MSSC
• That a permanent Congregational Pastor will be hired soon
