This week we pray for Daniel & Sandi McDougall who minister to international students at UVic leading them to discover Jesus through the Word of God, and preparing them to serve God wherever He leads them.

We join Daniel and Sandi in prayer for the following:

Praise:

  • Several local congregations are intentionally welcoming international students for the first time.
  • New and creative ‘common cause’ ventures are being crafted in partnership with other Christian groups on campus, including some of Lambrick’s own young adults
  • We’re serving an increased variety of students from various cultures, languages, ages and academic studies.

Prayer:

  • Please pray for international students for whom saying ‘yes’ to Jesus can entail serious family and social disruption, even the threat of being ostracized or physically harmed upon their return home.
  • Please pray for our local core of volunteers, many of whom have their own stresses and griefs.
  • Please pray that our resilience and ever-adaptiveness to new situations would thrive.  Because of cost-of-living issues in Victoria AND international political tensions, a ‘hybrid’ version of in-person and virtual internet-based ministry continues, so (like many others) we’re constantly adjusting to actual new realities.
