This week we pray for our missions partners, Brent and Shelley who are based in Australia and work to transmit shortwave and radio gospel broadcasts to listeners in the Asia Pacific region.

Here’s a report from them:

We have been in the midst of a busy volunteer and visitor season here at our transmission site in Kununurra. One big project has been taking inventory and expanding our spare parts we have on hand at the transmitter site.

We have also been busy planning for and making arrangement home assignment in Canada and Melbourne in August and September.   

They ask us to join them in prayer for the following: 

  • Pray for radio programs in 28 different languages to reach listeners, clearly explain the good news of Jesus, and encourage believers – many who face challenging conditions where they live.

  • Pray for Malcolm as he receives the first infusion of an MS treatment on the morning of August 12, different from the one he had in February due to the side effects he experienced following that treatment.

  • Pray for Shelley as she visits the Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne on the afternoon of August 12. She’s had some increase in IIH symptoms over the past few months, so it would be good to get checked.

  • Pray for our time in Melbourne and Canada, getting some needed rest as well as good connections with family, friends and supporters.

  • Pray for the team in Australia (including Malcolm doing Shelley’s program scheduling work), covering for us during our absence.
