Today we pray for our mission partners, Brent and Shelley Weeks, who are based in Australia and work to transmit shortwave and radio gospel broadcasts to listeners in the Asia Pacific region. They are sent by SonSet solutions Canada to serve with Reach Beyond in Australia. 
Here are several items for prayer and praise from them:
  • Shelley was away to visit and support our youngest son, Malcolm, in Melbourne from September 1 to October 9 as he learned of his Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis and began steps toward treatment (including diet and exercise). Please pray for the completion of a referral to a hospital near where he lives and for effective treatment.
  • Pray for Shelley as she spearheads the shortwave schedule change coming up on October 26, and for listeners as they find and tune in to new broadcast frequencies.
  • Thank God for the many tasks accomplished with visiting volunteers over the dry season, and for another volunteer couple who recently arrived and plan to stay well into the wet season.
  • Pray for the effectiveness of programs broadcast to the troubled country of Myanmar in the Burmese, Chin Matu and Rohingya languages.
