Matthew 25:35 – “I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat.”
Every December, we embrace the season as an opportunity to give together to support one of our missional partners – globally or locally. We call this our Advent Project.
This year’s Advent Project is aimed to support the work of two of our local partners – who are both helping provide food for those in need:
Every week, we hear stories of growing food insecurity all across our country.
Just a few days ago, I heard a report on the news that 1.4 million BC residents (that’s 24% of the population of BC) rely on some sort of food assistance these days.
And that 1 in 10 food banks are having to turn people away due to empty shelves.
And as our own partnership with Living Edge (every Wednesday right here onsite) is highlighting to us – these folks aren’t somewhere else. There are right here all around us. They might even be some of us.
So this Advent (thru Jan 10), we are aiming to raise $10,000+ toward the good and beautiful work of Living Edge and the Mustard Seed – to help fund programs that provide food for neighbors in need.
