This week, we pray for our annual Halloween event - Treat Street. For several years now, we have used our church building to offer a safe, welcoming venue for families to collect their candy on Oct 31. It is a great way for us as a church to connect with and bless our Gordon Head neighbourhood.

We give thanks that this year easing Covid restrictions have allowed us much more freedom in what we are able to offer. In 2020 and 2021, there were limits on how many guests we were allowed at Treat Street, how long they could stay for, and the event had to happen exclusively outside the building. This year, we are able to open up the church doors again and welcome people inside. We are planning on creating a space in our sanctuary where families can relax and chat with one another, and we are excited for the increased opportunity for friendship and connection.

Please pray:

  • That the event will run safely, and fun and fellowship will be had by all!
  • For our volunteers - at the time of writing, we have 15 fewer volunteers than we had this time last year. Please pray for energy for the wonderful team that we have, and for provision of a few more pairs of hands!
  • That our neighbours would feel welcomed and loved.

Thank you!
