This week, we pray for our local missions partner, Sanctuary Youth Centre. Based in the basement of the Church of Our Lord in downtown Victoria, they serve as a safe place for some of the most vulnerable people in our city - street entrenched and at-risk youth between the ages of 14 and 22.
Here are some prayer items from them:
- Join us in praying for a commercial kitchen for a social enterprise we are endeavouring to start called “Raw Carrrot” a "social franchise" that addresses the underlying causes of poverty and marginalization in Canada through supported employment.
- Many of the Youth we serve struggle with anxiety and depression and are in need of the love of Jesus in their lives. Please pray for openness on the part of the youth to receive the new Life that Jesus longs to give
- We have a number of youth who are in deep drug use and need prayer for the desire to be free of drugs and the help to accomplish this. Please pray specifically for Connor, Mark, Erika, Eli and Keegan.
- Pray for much needed staff and volunteers who can work specifically with males in the centre and on the weekends.
