Today our mission prayer is for Food for the Hungry (FH).  We thank God for the partnership we have had with numerous communities in Ethiopia over the last 20 years and we pray for the transitions now taking place in FH Canada as we move to another region. Here is a report from a school project in Burundi, Africa:
 
"In Burundi, we recently began working alongside Together for Development-Birashoboka, a local organization that has been serving families there for about five years. They're preparing 10,000 notebooks, so every child can start the school year with something that's their own, ready for their writing, math, and ideas. And getting children the right supplies for learning is just the beginning!

Our partner plans to train 60 primary and secondary teachers and create school clubs for 600 students, giving them more opportunities to learn together, build confidence and take an active role in their schools and communities"
