Our missional prayer focus this week is for Food for the Hungry (FH). We thank God for the partnership we have had with numerous communities in Ethiopia over the last 20 years and the remarkable changes that have come to those communities as a result of the work we have been part of. We pray for the transitions now taking place in FH Canada as they move to another region and we also pray for FH’s ongoing work in Ethiopia.

 Here are a few prayer items from the FH team in Africa.

  • "Pray for the country of Uganda and our FH Canada partners on the ground as they navigate the Ebola outbreak.  We are grateful to hear that the last remaining patient in Uganda has been discharged so currently there are no active cases within the country.
  • Pray for the Karamoja region in Uganda as it experiences drought.
  • Join us in thanksgiving for the 15 new community partners across 7 countries.  In each situation, we ask that you pray for an openness to listen to each other (staff & community members) and to listen to God."
