THE BIG PICTURE
In Luke 5, Jesus floods Peter’s nets and Peter finds himself crying out for his friends to come help him handle all that Jesus is doing. That’s the heart behind this new position on our team. Jesus is at work among us, our congregation and ministry are evidently growing, and it is time to add an Executive Pastor to our leadership team.
As a vital member of Lambrick’s leadership team, the Executive Pastor will be a collaborative and complementary leadership partner for the Lead Pastor, a second chair leader, and will be primarily invested in and responsible for strategic planning, finances, operations, and leadership/staff development.

THE EXECUTIVE PASTOR JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to strategize ways to effectively implement the vision, mission, values of the church in submission to the Spirit’s leading.
- Work with LP to prayerfully develop annual priorities and strategies (P&S).
- Facilitate the setting of goals for each pastor and ministry leader, ensuring alignment with the vision, mission, values, and P&S, and evaluating progress.
2. Staff / Human Resource Management
- Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to hire, reposition, manage & transition employees.
- Oversee human resource functions, including contracts, on-boarding, evaluation process, compensation and benefits.
- Partner with Lead Pastor in leading weekly staff meetings.
- Identify and initiate opportunities for staff and team development, fostering a culture of encouragement, accountability, mutual support, and growth.
- Direct supervision of specific administrative, operational, and office staff.
3. Financial Management
- Responsible for budget development and adherence by all pastors, staff, and ministries.
- Ensure appropriate procedures are being followed by bookkeeper and financial team.
- Collaborate with Board Treasurer in congregational communication, transparency in financial procedures, ensuring the financial health of church.
- Responsible for preparation of financial reports for monthly Finance and Board meetings, as well as annual congregational meetings.
4. Facility + Operations Management
- Oversee all aspects of facility and property management, as well as facility rentals (managed directly by PT Facility Coordinator).
- Manage long term facilities plans.
- Manage partnership with Wiseways (childcare development centre) Director in regard to day-to-day facility use and repairs, administration, and capital projects.
5. Ministry Support
- Participate in pastoral care and leadership of Lambrick (prayer, baptism classes, newcomer huddles, Sunday services, officiating weddings and funerals, pastoral presence with the sick and struggling, etc.) as an active member of the pastoral team.
- Contribute to or champion a ministry according to the EP’s ministry passions and gifts.
6. Board Support
- Attend all Board meetings, providing administrative and strategic support to the Board of Elders while maintaining healthy boundaries between governance and operations.
- Ensure Board meeting packages are compiled and delivered in a timely fashion.
- Participate in various committees as requested by the Elders Board.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS + FIT
- 10+ years experience in church or parachurch ministry leadership.
- Proven operational, strategic and staffing leadership experience.
- Experience in a multi-staff church context (300+ attendees) preferred.
- Theological training (undergrad or graduate degree in theology or ministry leadership) an asset.
- Committed to ongoing pursuit of spiritual and emotional health.
- Strives to follow Jesus in a life of justice and mercy, godliness and grace.

IMPORTANT DETAILS
The Executive Pastor is accountable to the Lead Pastor.
This position is full-time salaried position and includes health benefits, vacation, and sabbatical policy. Salary will be commensurate with experience and education. Relocation assistance available, if required.
