Picnic Potluck - SGM Info - Elder Nomination

Lambrick Park Church
Community Life Updates: June 4, 2026
Summer Picnic Potluck

Summer Picnic Potluck

We Are Launching Our Summer Picnics on June 7th

To kick-off the summer season, on Sunday June 7th, right after the service, we will be starting our Summer Picnic Potlucks!

As a special celebration for our first picnic of the season, we will be providing hot dogs. We invite everybody to bring finger-food sides to share! Friendly reminder that we would like to keep all potluck food nut-free for those with allergies.

We will also be celebrating our graduates on this day! There will be an oppurtunity after the service to write notes for our grads and also enjoy some cake together to celebrate with them!

Special General Meeting

Special General Meeting

June 14th - After The Service

It’s that time of year again where we gather as a church community to look at our finances together and pass the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

Join us Sunday June 14, around 15 to 20 minutes after the service ends, for a Special General Meeting (SGM) where we will present and vote on the proposed budget for the upcoming ministry year beginning September 2026.

All are welcome to attend and participate, but only those who are members will receive a ballot to vote. Meeting agenda and accompanying materials will be available under the resources page on our website. Click here for a direct link to the pdf.

Daniel & Sandi McDougall

Daniel & Sandi McDougall

Missional Prayer Focus · June 7, 2026

This week we pray for our local missionaries Daniel & Sandi McDougall who minister to international students at UVic.

Here is an update from them: As we head into the summer months, some of our activities have begun to slow down. This gives us time to evaluate and plan for the school year ahead. Sandi just returned from our national staff conference in Kelowna. She was blessed and encouraged by spending time with fellow colleagues as we continue our work with international students.

Is Reconciliation Possible?

Is Reconciliation Possible?

A Lecture by Dr. Ray Aldred

"How do you find reconciliation when justice is so far away? For individuals who have experienced oppression and marginalization, the church’s advocacy of reconciliation can seem artificial or contrived.... Reconciliation is not cheap grace, it cost something."

Join us on June 9th from 7–9pm as we watch a Lecture by Dr. Ray Aldred (Indigenous pastor and professor at Vancouver School of Theology) that he presented in 2024 at the University of Waterloo.  Please register by clicking the button below!
