Building Our Summer Kids Church Team!Volunteers Needed for Just 3 Sundays: July 5-September 6 Over the summer, we love to give the wonderful team of people who serve year-round with our kids ministry a well-deserved break! So we are looking for about 35 lovely people to serve with our kids ministry, for 3 Sundays each between July 5 and September 6, so that our kids are still cared for and guided in their journeys with Jesus, while their usual teachers enjoy a rest. Kids 2 Camp Fundraiser
A couple weeks ago, we included a community update video from Curtis Harder in our newsletter about the incredible work he has been leading through Camp Homewood’s Fourth Annual Kids 2 Camp Gran Fondo. With the event coming up on June 6, we invite our church family to be praying! As a church, our vision is life with God for the world, and this is such a beautiful example of living out part of our mission to follow Jesus through everyday mission. Curtis started the Kids 2 Camp Gran Fondo as a way to use his passion for cycling to help disadvantaged children experience the love, community, and life-changing impact of camp. This year, Curtis, Mark deLeeuw, and others from our community will cycle 300 km from Victoria to Camp Homewood in support of this amazing cause. Please join us in praying for safety, strength, and encouragement for all those participating, and for the children and leaders who will be impacted through this fundraiser. Is Reconciliation Possible?A Lecture by Dr. Ray Aldred "How do you find reconciliation when justice is so far away? For individuals who have experienced oppression and marginalization, the church’s advocacy of reconciliation can seem artificial or contrived....
