Happy New Year to you!

As we get ready to dive into 2021, we have a few ways for us to follow Jesus together; through prayer, scripture reading, and discernment for our church leadership.

Next week, we will be launching The Shema Project.

Today we pray for our missionaries, Brent and Shelley Weeks serving with Reach Beyond in Australia - spreading the gospel throughout the Asia Pacific via short wave radio.

Russ Jones has been nominated for eldership and affirmed by our committee and Board of Elders. Church members will have the opportunity to formally affirm him as part of the Board of Elders in the New Year.

Please pray for Russ and Marilyn in this month of discernment.

For our Advent Giving Project this year, entitled ‘Missions in Need’, we hope to raise $10,000 to support our missional partners who have been uniquely affected this year by the Covid-19 pandemic; particularly Mahima Homes in Kolkata.

This week, Scott Anderson will be teaching on Psalm 86, and inviting us to seek God together in the coming season.

One initiative we have to help us with this is The Shema Project, which Scott will be explaining in his talk.

We shared this song earlier in the year, way back in April at the beginning of the pandemic. As we reflect on this previous year, filled with change and uncertainty, and as we look forward to the year ahead - how wonderful to have an unchanging God, who guides us with wisdom and love.
