Join us for Men's Breakfast on a Saturday morning. This will be a great way to get to know some other men and build community at Lambrick. Come to enjoy breakfast and hear the faith journey of one of the guys.

Open to men ages 18 and up. Cost is $10 or $8 for students.

Priscilla and Melissa (two Lambrick moms with young kids) are inviting Families With little Kids - connecting after church this Sunday September 27, for a casual meet up at the playground near the wiseways cottage in the church parking lot. This is a chance for families to connext with other families in a similar stage of life as them!

There will be pizza and maybe more!

Kids can run and play while adults mingle and officially meet one another.

September 30 is Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, established to honour residential school survivors. It is a day for learning for non-Indigenous Canadians and a day for celebrating resilience and overcoming for Indigenous Peoples.

We are honoured to be invited into this day of reconciliation, by the Songhees Nation, for the 5th Annual South Island Powwow, on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. All details about the powwow can be found on their website: South Island Powwow — Songhees Nation.

As a church, we continue to grow as people who want reconciliation, and who pursue reconciliation and encourage everyone to embrace the intent of the day. The gospel is all about us being reconciled to God, and in this, becoming people of reconciliation. People who hunger for it and seek it. For all people and, on this day, for our indigenous community.

We have been told by survivors that simply showing up, listening to them speak in their language, watching them dance their dances and wear their regalia – all with an attitude of respect rather than anger – can be incredibly helpful to their own healing journey. Please join us if you can.

This fall, Lambrick will be running an Alpha course, in person at the church, specifically for our English Language learners. 

Alpha is an 11-week session designed for people who want to explore the Christian faith with others.  With our ELL group, we will expand the time frame to allow for additional time and space needed for English learners.  It’s an opportunity for our international friends to hear the Gospel (potentially for the first time) and explore a relationship with Jesus.   enjoy food with new friends, watch engaging short films that spark conversation, and explore Christianity with no pressure.

Invite: 

• Start praying about who God may be calling you to invite. Grab an invitation card at the Connect Desk. 

Serve: 

• We are looking for one or two people to attend the Alpha course as assistants. Alpha is a place for those seeking Jesus to explore, so you don't need to know all the 'answers' - just be in the room each week, loving God and loving our guests.  
• We are looking for people to provide a simple meal (soups would be great!) over the next few months.

Pray: 

• for the Lord to lead our international friends
• for the guests who will attend 
• for the facilitators and helpers

On October 4th, after the service, we’re kicking off our first Soup & Bun lunch of the fall!

For those of you who are newer to Lambrick and aren’t quite sure what Soup Potluck is, it’s pretty simple: after the service, we gather together for lunch, with everyone bringing food to share potluck-style. There’s usually plenty of soup, along with other dishes and things to share around the table.

More than anything, Soup Potluck is about fellowship and connection. Sundays can sometimes go by quickly, so this gives us a chance to slow down, sit around a table together, have good conversations, connect with someone new, and spend time with one another outside of the service.

So, if you’re able, bring some food to share, stick around after the service, and join us for lunch. And if you’re new to Lambrick, this is a great opportunity to meet some people and get connected. We’d love to have you!

"Learning Toward Truth and Reconciliation" is a monthly gathering at Lambrick Park Church where we learn another slice of how we can move toward truth and reconciliation with our Indigenous neighbours. Recognizing Christ's call to love our neighbours well, to seek justice, and correct oppression, we also recognize that this is a call to the long walk and hard work of justice in our own country and our own hearts. 

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation can be a good place to start; although, as Christ followers, we dare not only do the work one day a year.  

Hosted by one of our pastors, Kenzie Watson, each monthly gathering will feature a recorded teaching to help us learn about this important work, followed by a brief time to process together and spend some time in prayer.

On October 6 from 7-9 pm, we will be gathering in the Church Cafe and listening to a recorded teaching.

This Sunday we wrap up our annual September 'We Are Lambrick' series with a message about our giftedness as a community. Alana will be preaching, primarily from 1 Corinthians 12:1-7, but with an eye into 1 Corinthians 13 as well.
