Family News

Our dear sister in Christ, Colleen Hirschfield passed away peacefully on Sunday morning.

Colleen's family write:

For Colleen this is a time of great joy; she was eager to move on. Join her in that joy. Sad for us but wonderful the legacy of her love has left to us.
Colleen is closer now than ever to the Father God she has known and loved since she was a young child. Her heart has gone to its home and there is new energy in a new dance and party. She is in the company of friends and family who have gone on before her.

Prior to her passing Colleen asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Compassionate Resource Warehouse. Donations can be made at https://www.crwarehouse.ca/donate

Our love and prayers extend to Rob and the family at this time.

The Hirschfield family has expressed that they would welcome messages from friends in a week or two, after they have spent the next few days together.

We are thrilled that we are able to reach out to our neighbourhood once again this year to offer a safe space for little ones to show off their costumes and collect way too much candy!

Spots to attend Treat Street are filling up fast, so if you would like to attend, please sign up soon to avoid disappointment.

This Sunday • What do you think about Watch Parties?

This week once again, we are going to be holding a watch party for our Sunday service, beginning at 10AM

So lean in with us, and tune in at 10am on Sunday, at lambrick.com/live

We'd love to know how you've found these watch parties, and how you are engaging with church community at the moment.

If you have 5 minutes to fill out this anonymous survey, we would so appreciate hearing your thoughts.

Thank you to everyone who filled out the survey last week - your feedback was really helpful and full of great ideas!

Missional Prayer Focus - Thursday, October 15, 2020

Our missional focus this week is ELL.

Our ELL started over 15 years ago with a vision to share the love of Jesus to those whose first language is not English. Students are from all over the world - some are visiting scholars and faculty, some are new residents, and some have lived here for some time but seeking to improve their English Language skills.

A chance to worship and hear God's voice together

This week, Shirley Vargas will be leading us in a time of comtemplative prayer and reflection.
Shirley and her husband Carlos specialise in hosting spiritual retreats and facilitating scripture reflection.

Scott and Janet Anderson will also lead us in a time of sung worship.

This will be an in-person, physically distanced event at the Lambrick Park Church building.
Due to COVID-19 safety restrictions, we ask that everyone pre-registers for this event.

To keep things fair for everyone, as we have limited space, priority will be given to anyone who were not able to attend last week, but at the time of writing this, there is still lots of space available.

Song of the Week

Song of the Week

Rivers and Robots · Lead Me Father

As the summer fades into autumn, and we begin our teaching series on Hearing God's Voice, this song reminds us that God is always faithful, and always leading us.

All other ways they will soon fade away
But through all of the ages, Your word will remain
And through every season Your word will sustain my life
