This June, we will be sending a team of four people: Kenzie Watson, Brenda Lee, Jessie-Anne Tromsness, and Todd Lidstone, to visit our missional partners, Beginning of Life in Chișinău, Moldova, to serve and build relationships with their staff on the ground. Beginning of Life supports vulnerable children, teens, and families with compassion, dignity, and hope, and this trip is an opportunity to come alongside their work in practical and relational ways.

Those who go will help support kids’ and teens’ camps that run Monday to Friday, with each week serving a different age group. Team members may help with crafts, games, and English-practice activities, and also assist with set-up, decorating, and clean-up for each camp. There will also be time to build relationships with the amazing staff and the people they serve.

We invite you to pray for those who are going, for the children and teens who will attend the camps, and for the ministry of Beginning of Life.

Beginning of Life

Beginning of Life Ministry (BoL) was founded by Moldovans to support the people of Moldova. Moldova is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, bordered by Romania and Ukraine. It is the least visited country in Europe as well as the poorest country in Europe. The Beginning of Life vision is to transform the nation through prevention and restoration programs that support victims of trafficking and abuse, young single mothers, and abandoned children. They raise awareness about the dangers of human trafficking to churches, schools, and society. The ministry also invests in the lives of Moldova’s future leaders, to bring about lasting change in the nation for years to come.

Kenzie has put it on the line to raise money for the team’s Moldova trip and summer camps. Donate by May 19 to vote for the hair colour you’d like to see our Children’s Pastor, Kenzie, reveal on May 31.

Jessie has offered to be slimed with whichever gross substance wins! To vote, donate toward what you’d like her to be slimed with by May 19. All money raised will go toward the team. The winning choice will be dumped on her on May 31st.
