Praying Together - Job Opportunities - Lost & Found

Lambrick Park Church
Community Life Updates: May 8, 2025
Praying Together

Praying Together

Last year, on the 50th anniversary of our church, we invited people in our community to share short testimonies of a way that God has used Lambrick to spark, fuel, renew, or sustain your faith in Christ.  All with the aim of encouraging one another with what God has done, and inviting us to pray together for more.

Now, a year later,
we want to reshare these stories and invite others as a means to encourage and pray together. We will include one story, new or old, in our newsletter each week and continue until we run out. As a community, let's pray once again for God's continued work in us, and among us, and through us - in Gordon Head, Victoria, and the world.

Volunteer at Living Edge Market?

Volunteer at Living Edge Market?

We are continuing to pray for discernment of God’s will and provision to initiate a Living Edge Market, probably with an August start date, here at Lambrick. If you are just catching up on this initiative, please watch the 2 minute video clip.

Our vision is that volunteers will commit to serving with a team every fourth week – yes, there is flexibility to accommodate holidays and the like, and yes, you can join more than one team!

The mission-critical positions we need to fill at this time are 2 Co-Market Coordinators, and 8 Co-Team Leaders. If you're interested in volunteering, check out the volunteer matrix below for what's involved and to indicate your interest. In the interim, we need your continued prayers for God’s blessing and discernment for this initiative and for the food to be provided.

Join the Summer Kids Ministry Team!

Over the summer, we love to give the wonderful team of people who serve year-round with our kids ministry a well-deserved break! So we are looking for several lovely people to serve with our kids ministry, for 3 Sundays each between July 6 and August 31, so that our kids are still cared for and guided in their journeys with Jesus, while their usual teachers enjoy a rest.

If you think you might be able to serve, please fill out this form or chat with Kenzie to start the Criminal Record Check process.

Saturdays in the Garden

Saturdays in the Garden

Would you have an hour or two on a Saturday morning to come and help with the gardening that needs to be done on the church property?  We really need people to help with weeding, sweeping (yes, sweeping up blossoms!), digging out blackberry and ivy roots, or using the weed eater. Anyone is welcome to come and join us.

If you have questions, talk to Sue Priestley (sue@lambrick.com).  As long as it is not raining, Sue and others will be here on Saturday mornings between 9 and 11.  Drop in when it is convenient for you.  Looking forward to seeing you - weather permitting!

Campaign for Hope

Campaign for Hope

Haven Pregnancy Support Clinic is one of the local ministries we partner with as a church community. Their annual Campaign for Hope runs from Mother's Day to Father's Day.

For those who are not familiar with them, they are a Christian organization that is motivated by the grace and compassion we have received, and in turn, offers that compassion to those in our community who have been impacted by an unplanned pregnancy.
