Living Edge Market at LPC?
Last Sunday we prayed for discernment of God’s will and provision to initiate a Living Edge Market, probably with an August start date, here at Lambrick. If you are just catching up on this initiative, please watch the 2 minute video clip.
The discernment team – Janet, Jacy, Janae, Tara, Curtis, and Chris - have been working through all the practical pieces with LPC staff and Duncan Paulson of Living Edge. At this point, funding has been secured, the space has been identified, and over 40 people have expressed interest loving our neigbours through this ministry, here in Gordon Head. Our vision is that volunteers will commit to serving with a team every fourth week – yes, there is flexibility to accommodate holidays and the like, and yes, you can join more than one team!
The mission-critical positions we need to fill at this time are 2 Co-Market Coordinators, and 8 Co-Team Leaders – interested? Watch for the volunteer matrix here next week for what's involved and to indicate your interest. In the interim, we need your continued prayers for God’s blessing and discernment for this initiative and for the food to be provided.

Saturdays in the Garden
Would you have an hour or two on a Saturday morning to come and help with the gardening that needs to be done on the church property? We really need people to help with weeding, sweeping (yes, sweeping up blossoms!), digging out blackberry and ivy roots, or using the weed eater. Anyone is welcome to come and join us. If you have questions, talk to Sue Priestley (sue@lambrick.com). As long as it is not raining, Sue and others will be here on Saturday mornings between 9 and 11. Drop in when it is convenient for you. Looking forward to seeing you - weather permitting! |
