The Truth and Reconciliation Commission included 94 Calls to Action in their report. We have been looking at 2 each week since the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation this past September.
But that was 6 months ago and has included multiple busy seasons where it's easy to lose our rhythms. So let's take an evening to refocus on our commitment to reconciliation and pray through the Calls to Action. We'll be using the resource created by the Alliance Church of Canada called, "Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action - Learning and Prayer Guide", to help us better understand the Calls to Action and to guide our prayer when we simply don't know what to pray. Whether you've been diligently praying each week or are completely new to the Calls to Action, all are invited to join. All you need is a heart open to the biblical imperative to be a people of reconciliation.
May God use this to deepen our understanding, expand our hearts, and lead us in seeking God's justice and mercy in our communities and country.
