National Day for Truth and ReconciliationSeptember 30, 2021 Today marks the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation - a day in which we will annually commemorate and honour children who lost their lives or were otherwise harmed by the Residential School system in Canada. For those of us who are or are descended from settlers in Canada, this can be a day of confession, lament, and standing with those who have experienced injustice - and as Christians, we see God calling his people to all of these responses in Scripture. If you would like to learn more and better understand the impact of the Residential School System on Indigenous Canadians, we have gathered a few helpful resources below. 3:45 to 5:45 - Cooking (no experience needed; there will be someone that will plan and direct)
5:30 - 7:30 - Package meals, serve, clean up
