Today we pray for our International Missions Partner, OM Ships International.  Their ships, visit ports around the world with an international crew and staff of volunteers who work with local churches in each port to impact the community.  Local people are invited onboard to visit the ships’ book fair (often a first-ever opportunity to purchase quality educational and Christian literature) and hear the message of the gospel. Teams from the ship go into surrounding areas to minister with the local churches, supply aid and provide community care to meet local needs.

The smaller ship, Doulos Hope, will be in Cambodia until mid-April.  In a recent stop in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, the advance termed about the need for building materials in local communities. So, they raised funds to purchase the materials and when the ship arrived, they worked with locals to help build houses.

The Logos Hope is in South Africa until the middle of April. In a recent stop in Madagascar, crew members joined staff from the “Mercy Ministries” organization to provide medical assistance to locals in the countryside.

  • OM Ships have asked us to join them in prayer for the 80 new crew members who joined the Logos Hope in February and for someone to fill the position of People Services Director.
