"We are still under pandemic restrictions - with a nightly curfew of 8pm and a semi lockdown with businesses and stores closing at 6pm. But we are seeing a decrease in our Covid 19 numbers, so these strict guidelines do seem to work.

Throughout our lockdowns we have been teaching our counseling class online via Zoom, which has been going very well.  Restrictions on schools have lifted and our class was  able to meet  in person last Saturday.  We will only be allowed to have our Saturday classes in person, and will continue with online Monday evening classes. We are hoping to be completing this class by the end of April.

We started teaching another course in a village, about 2.5 hours outside the city of Kigali. Every Tuesday we drive there, teach for 4-5 hours, and then drive back.  It proves to be a very long day but, Celo and I teach together which is really special. I teach in English and he translates into Kinyarwanda, adds some of his own thoughts etc and then translates the student's responses and questions back to me.  The students are all either teachers themselves, head masters or local leaders in the community. Please pray for strength for us as those 12 hour days once a week are hard.

Our adoption is still in need of much prayer, especially this week. We need to go back  to court to have our adoption changed from a simple adoption to a full Adoption -  something Canada requires for proper Immigration for Jubilee Selah.  It's been a very stressful season for us with all this, and we are both weary and exhausted and in desperate need of the Lord to intervene on our behalf to have these things finalized once and for all. Please pray that we can get a full Adoption granted to us - we need a miracle.

Lastly, a praise item. 2021 marks my 10 year anniversary of Ministry in Rwanda. It's a very special season to be in. Celebrating all that the Lord has done in and through me, and now us as a couple, is remarkable. It's amazing also to be returning to teaching in the village in this 10th year, as it feels a bit like a complete circle from where I started. I began this journey teaching in Kinyarwanda in a small village church, and now we are back in the village teaching again in Kinyarwanda.... Kind of feels a bit like book ends. God is so good."
