Scott brings us an update from Kenzie on our Kids ministry needs. Please pray with us for God's provision, and consider whether you might be able to fill one of these roles:

2 volunteers for our preteen Sunday ministry.
3-6 volunteers for newborn - kindergarten
8 volunteers to reopen our preschool aged group
1 K-Grade 1 helper

This week we pray for our local missions partner Sanctuary Youth Centre.  Based in the basement of Church of Our Lord in downtown Victoria, they provide a safe place for some of the most vulnerable people in our city - street entrenched and at-risk youth between the ages of 14 and 22.

Women’s Gatherings: women of all ages and stages coming together, leaning into God and one another more closely. Building real, raw, honest relationships and community. Worship, prayer, learning, growing, and healing.

This season's theme: Community Garden

January 21: This month, we welcome Jessie Anne Tromsness, who will be leading us in a time of creative worship, inviting us to explore worshipping God through art, music, journalling etc.

If you would like to join a small group to study The Deeply Formed Life by Rich Villodas, let us know your availability and we will help get your group up and running! 

Registration closes tomorrow, and then we will be in touch shortly with a study guide and to help you gather with some others who are free at the same time. 

Women, come join us for an evening of food & fellowship, where we will be showcasing some of the incredible creative gifts in our church!

This event will be a safe and welcoming space for both creators and viewers.

Our friends at Hollydene Community Church, together with Shelbourne Street church will be hosting Regent College for a 1 day conference, on Saturday, February 4, from 10AM-2PM:

"Join George Guthrie (Professor of New Testament) and Matthew Lynch (Associate Professor of Old Testament) for this one day workshop as they explore the Biblical story and the interplay between Old Testament worship and the ministry of Jesus."

Suggested donation is $40.

This Sunday, we welcome our guest speaker, Clarke Scheibe.

Clarke is the director of L'Abri, here on Vancouver Island.

It was called L’Abri, the French word for “shelter,” because they sought to provide a shelter from the pressures of a relentlessly secular 20th century."
